MESSER BRÜDER Release Info:

There hadn’t been a plan. Coming from a rehearsal she took the wrong door, tumbled into the studio and then she sang. And that was it. From then on the MESSER BRÜDER formed a trio – with her. Almost everything has changed since then: more vocals, more melodies, more aggression and most of all her voice.

Relationship is brittle but the music ties them together. On a personal level they walk on thin ice, but musically they all just fit together: electronic beats, slicing synthesizer-sounds, fat basses, cinematic guitar sounds from the steel-mill and a voice just to melt away. The music is a mix of real instruments and programmed sounds, full of surprising twists and turns and catchy tunes.

It was in Darmstadt where the musicians Thomas Buchenauer and Florian Malicke met. Somehow they both had ended up in that town near Frankfurt. Since 2010 they released three albums full of electronic instrumental music, which they also performed at theatre productions. Along with singer and actress Julia Rothfuchs the “EP 1” was released in 2016. The new album is titled “Fahr zur Hölle” (“Go To Hell”).

Info:

KNIGHT$ is a UK artist with a knack for penning some memorable electro anthems. Whether with a full band or simply stripped back with a pianist, KNIGHT$ delivers. With one foot firmly in the present, and a discerning knowledge of music’s past, KNIGHT$ might be the newcomer to occupy your sound system in 2017.

Cutting his teeth in projects such as Scarlet Soho and Boytronic, KNIGHT$ has made a name for himself. Touring Europe alongside Zoot Woman, IAMX and The Faint, he’s also headlined the Under The Sky stage at Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, and co-wrote the lead track for the German movie “Bauernfrühstück” in 2011, where he duetted alongside German classical vocalist Isgaard (Schiller).

KNIGHT$’ and current producer Martin Dubka (Tesla Boy/Tyson/Ali Love) started working on the first new tracks in 2016 in Hackney, London. Even after a short time in the studio Dubka and KNIGHT$ developed an almost telepathic understanding. It was clear the initial tracks needed to be concise, with super strong stick-like-glue melodies. KNIGHT$ would program the midi, with Dubka working overtime, patching in an array of 80s vintage analogue synthesizers and getting the sounds just right. By the time they were finished, KNIGHT$ knew he had something pretty unique on their hands!

KNIGHT$ holds undeniable magnetism live, but there’s a palpable substance to all he turns his hand to. Just when you think you have this guy sussed, he will offer you something different, something you never saw coming. It’s pop Jim, but not as we know it!

Info:
