THE AUTUMN SIGHS Release Info:

THE AUTUMN SIGHS were formed in 2011 in Siegen, Germany. The trio is mainly influenced by the indie-guitar-sound of the late 80s / early 90s and classic shoegaze bands like Slowdive, Lush, Ride and My Bloody Valentine. Their music combines disturbing „Wall of Sound“ and bittersweet melancholy.

After the debut EP “Sprig” (2012) the new EP “Branches“ marks the beginning of a tetralogy. The next part is already in the works and scheduled for release later this year. Additionally, a 12” vinyl for the Berlin based label Dreams Never End is planned as well.

THOCTV Release Info:

Something Like Eternity is the third album from the Berlin-based international band The History Of Colour TV. The group traveled to France in the spring of 2016 to record with Peter Deimel (The Ex, The Wedding Present etc) at the legendary Black Box studios. Stylistically, the album is a departure from its predecessors‘ dreamy, reverb-laden sound signatures. Here the band is heard live and without artifice, a dynamic and open recording with minimal overdubs. The album is a cycle of fractured, ominous narratives – songs haunted by indeterminate characters and small-town wilderness, stories of emotion without release, of things happening because nothing is… And within the songs‘ elongated structures and narrative themes, the band blends their customary melodic sensibilities with noisy echoes of the early American underground.

The History Of Colour TV was founded in 2010 in Berlin by british artist Jaike Stambach. Over the course of two albums and multiple EPs released, the band has been unabashedly diverse in their approach, exploring harsh noise, experimental sound collages, reverb-saturated dream-pop, shoegaze guitar-scapes, or the stripped-down rock of their more recent offerings. Their new album Something Like Eternity will be released in Germany on April 13th 2017.

MESSER BRÜDER Release Info:

There hadn’t been a plan. Coming from a rehearsal she took the wrong door, tumbled into the studio and then she sang. And that was it. From then on the MESSER BRÜDER formed a trio – with her. Almost everything has changed since then: more vocals, more melodies, more aggression and most of all her voice.

Relationship is brittle but the music ties them together. On a personal level they walk on thin ice, but musically they all just fit together: electronic beats, slicing synthesizer-sounds, fat basses, cinematic guitar sounds from the steel-mill and a voice just to melt away. The music is a mix of real instruments and programmed sounds, full of surprising twists and turns and catchy tunes.

It was in Darmstadt where the musicians Thomas Buchenauer and Florian Malicke met. Somehow they both had ended up in that town near Frankfurt. Since 2010 they released three albums full of electronic instrumental music, which they also performed at theatre productions. Along with singer and actress Julia Rothfuchs the “EP 1” was released in 2016. The new album is titled “Fahr zur Hölle” (“Go To Hell”).

THOCTV Release Info:

Wreck is the new single by the Berlin-based international band The History Of Colour TV and the first song to be issued from their upcoming third album, for which the band traveled to France in the spring of 2016 to record with Peter Deimel (The Ex, The Wedding Present etc) at the legendary Black Box studios. Stylistically, Wreck is an accurate snapshot of the album the trio emerged with – a dynamic and open recording, live and with minimal overdubs. With its elongated structure and narrative theme, the song itself blends melodic sensibilities with noisy echoes of the early American underground.

The History Of Colour TV was founded in 2010 in Berlin by british artist Jaike Stambach. Over the course of the two albums and multiple EPs released, the band has been unabashedly diverse in their approach, exploring harsh noise, experimental sound collages, reverb-saturated dream-pop, shoegaze guitar-scapes, or the stripped-down rock of their more recent offerings. Info:

SEASURFER & LAST LEAF DOWN – Live in Cologne

seasurferEvent News – April 2015

SEASURFER & LAST LEAF DOWN Live

FALLING OFF A MOUNTAIN

(LP|Digital Album)

Label: Reptile Music / Houndnation
Distribution: Altone
Release Date: 26.09.14
File Under: Shoegaze | Indie | Wave

Info:

SLOWNESS was formed in San Francisco in 2008 by Julie Lynn and Geoffrey Scott. The EP “Hopeless But Otherwise” was released in 2011. After touring America, the group began work on the LP “For Those Who Wish To See The Glass Half Full”, released in 2013. The second album “How To Keep From Falling Off A Mountain” was written and recorded by Lynn (bass, keys, vocals) and Scott (guitar, keys, vocals) in San Francisco and New York City and features Scott Putnam on drums, Greg Dubrow on bass and Sean Eden (Luna) on additional guitars. The record was produced by Monte Vallier (Weekend, The Soft Moon) and Geoffrey Scott and was mastered by Kramer (Low, Galaxie 500).  The San Francisco based band is a blend of drone pop jangle and new wave shoegaze under layered and androgynous harmonies, and is reminiscent of I.R.S. era REM, early Stereolab and mid-period The Cure.

Info:

Gegründet 2008 in San Francisco, haben SLOWNESS erstmals 2011 mit der EP “Hopeless But Otherwise” für Aufmerksamkeit gesorgt. Zwei Jahre später veröffentlichte die Band um Geoffrey Scott und Julie Lynn ihren ersten Longplayer “For Those Who Wish To See The Glass Half Full”, der von Monte Vallier (Weekend, The Soft Moon) produziert und von Kramer (Low, Galaxie 500) gemastert wurde. Kurz vor dem Release ihres zweiten Albums “How To Keep From Falling Off A Mountain” erscheint nun auch das bisher nur via Import erhältliche Debut erstmals offiziell in Europa.
